What ImgShield does
ImgShield organizes readable image evidence: provenance records, camera metadata, generation traces, editing information, and a limited local model signal. It is designed to make the evidence visible before anyone draws a conclusion.
What it does not do
No detector can prove an image's origin from every file. Screenshots, re-encoding, edits, stripped metadata, and new generation methods can remove or change clues. A result is a review aid, not a verdict about a person or a claim.
Use it responsibly
For consequential decisions, keep the original file and source context, record the evidence that was found and missing, and use independent review when appropriate.
